Well, I think I have finally survived the "crafting" part of Christmas for another year. I think this year I turned out the most cards and crafts, yet. I don't know how many hundreds of Christmas cards I made this year. I gave up trying to count them. It started with the church craft bazaar in September, and dozens of orders for cards and gift certificates. From there, it was cards and samples that I made and cut for my club members. THEN, it was my own personal cards to my family and friends. Let's throw in 15 hand-made Christmas ornaments.... Needless to say, I'm "Christmased" out. On to my January club. I hope my members won't be too bored. It will probably be a little disappointing after the Christmas "wows", but I need a little break, and have decided to use January to teach a few new techniques, make cards a little more simple, and concentrate on some GREAT Valentines!
I can't wait for my club to see what I'm creating for a very special Valentines Day. How does chocolate ganache, covered strawberries sound? Or retro 50s designer paper? How about a non-traditional color such as Pool Party Blue? Cards with shapes to them? "Pre-ordering" your choice of Valentines? Little, miss pink piggy? Stayed tuned for a great February!
